Garden Events

Garden events are uplifting and a great source of inspiration for everyone interested in plants and gardens. Here is a list of events I am most looking forward to attending in 2018. These are mainly, but not exclusively, around the London area where I live. I hope to meet some of my readers and fellow garden bloggers and write about my experience on the blog. More events will be added throughout the year so don’t forget to check back.

February

28 February – The Garden Press Event, London

Great opportunity to meet garden writers, discover new and exciting garden brands and do a bit of networking with suppliers of garden products.

April

5-7 April – RHS Orchid Show & Plant Fair, RHS Lindley and Lawrence Halls, London
RHS Plant fair offering an amazing selection of spring plants, stunning orchid displays and exotic houseplants from orchids and clivia to tillandsia and begonias. Read my article about this show.

May

5 May – Grow Your Own Herbs Masterclass with Hackney Herbal, London
This workshop is about growing, propagating and harvesting herbs and using them in tea, cosmetics and natural remedies. I am keen to learn more about growing herbs in containers too!

Must-attend event for any gardener! I am looking forward to listening to top garden experts, Monty Don, Carol Klein, Alan Titchmarsh, Adam Frost, Frances Tophill, at BBC Gardeners’ World Live Theatre, getting inspired by show gardens and shopping at the floral marquee.

18-24 June – British Flowers Week, Covent Garden, London

An annual event celebrating variety of British cut flowers and foliage at New Covent Garden Flower Market.
Don’t forget to share your photos of British flowers on social media using hashtag #BritishFlowersWeek during this week.
